Saving Sophie

On a journey to save her daughter’s life, Tracy Ryan, cannabis advocate and the founder of SavingSophie.org, proves there is truly nothing greater than a mother’s love! Upending her family’s lives and careers to not only help her child, but all children confronted by cancer, Tracy spent the last 5 years creating a team of experts dedicated to finding a cure for cancer through nontraditional methods and her progress has been nothing short of astounding.

In 2013, Tracy’s 8 1/2-month-old daughter Sophie was diagnosed with an Optic Pathway Glioma, an inoperable brain tumor. With chemotherapy being the only option, Tracy decided to look for alternative ways to help her daughter. She started looking into any clinical studies she could find when she was introduced to the concept of cannabis oil killing cancer.

Throughout her journey to help her daughter and other children affected by this deadly disease, Tracy founded Saving Sophie, which is a nonprofit that provides financial support, homeopathic and western medicine education, and funding research to discover better treatments for diseases like cancer and autism to ill families.

After meeting a world-renowned cancer research doctor that agreed to study Sophie’s brain tumor tissue and blood, it was discovered Sophie’s cannabis treatment reactivated her body’s immune cells that kill the most aggressive forms of cancers. Sophie should have gone blind years ago, but due to the amount of tumor shrinkage they have continued to see in a tumor that doesn’t normally shrink well, Sophie still sees today.

Due to these findings, two additional children who used cannabis alongside their cancer treatments have been enrolled in the study, both of which were terminal and should have succumbed to their diseases 3+ years ago. Based on the doctor’s preliminary results, she plans to work with Tracy to enroll additional patients, and further explore the effects of cannabis in those suffering from cancerous diseases.

Hoping to bring awareness to the cause, raise funds to expand cancer research at a top university in southern California, and enroll more patients in the study who are battling this terrible disease, Tracy is spearheading a unique fundraising event in Hollywood on October 12th The Saving Sophie Experience – A Journey To Find The Cure. The event will include an exciting scavenger hunt through a series of rooms that will put the attendees on a heroic mission to find a cure!

After trying every conventional methods is good to check also the unconventional ones: cannabis is proved to have some results, so if used carefully and with logic I’d say “why not?”
